Why not just take Wild Talent or be a race that is naturally psionic? A template that only exists to give a character a 1/day level 1 power and +4 Int for a +1 LA is redundant and pointless. MasterBowman 11:34, 29 April 2009 (MDT)

Because... Maybe someone doesn't want to be one of the races that are naturally psionic? Woah, logic. --TK-Squared 11:57, 29 April 2009 (MDT)
But creating a template that is replaced with a single feat, which has no prerequisites mind you, is completely illogical. What you've created is a template that gives you +1 LA for +4 Int. MasterBowman 15:07, 29 April 2009 (MDT)
I missed where Wild Talent gives you +4 Int and a 1st level power 1/day. How odd! You're still wrong. Logic prevails. --TK-Squared 15:34, 29 April 2009 (MDT)
Look, I am trying to figure out what your motivation for creating this template was since an Elven character with Wild Talent and a +2 Int magic item is essentially the same thing as what you have here. And most 1st level powers are only good if you can augment them, unless you know of a power I don't. So please, explain to me what you were thinking before you throw the word "logic" at me and flat out tell me I'm wrong and imply that I'm an idiot. MasterBowman 18:28, 29 April 2009 (MDT)
This template is different than the feat. It's balanced, plus it has the +1 LA. What is wrong with it? You don't comapare a template to a race, feat, and item combination. --Wyrm 07:45, 30 April 2009 (MDT)
Clearly, I cannot get an explanation to why this template deserves being picked over a simpler and easier option. I look at templates as a means of getting something that is hard to get any other way (Half-Dragon is very difficult to emulate with standard classes and items). But since you and other people will not say anything other than "I am wrong" with no explanation; I give up. You can have this useless template and your snide remarks. Could've fooled me --TK-Squared 12:52, 30 April 2009 (MDT)
Okay, so, let's say I want to make a psionic character. I go and read over the naturally psionic races, but don't find any that fit my tastes or I have my heart set on another race because I really like the flavor, but it lends itself poorly to a psionic class. I find this template, a way to get around being forced to take a few races and get into what people really like doing with DnD, making really messed up characters. So, I settle on making a psionic half-orc, because I think that would be fun. While I'm at it, why don't I also take Wild Talent and that +2 Int item (assuming I can afford it because I didn't spend all my money on blackjack and hookers). That sounds fun, right. Plus, I get to play what I want to play. I shall name him Grungle. --Ganteka 12:59, 30 April 2009 (MDT)
