Reduced Price[edit]

I reduced the price to put this item more in-line with the MIC pricing philosophy. This item should be introduced around the 4th-6th character level. It's a really cool item, but only a dedicated crafter would pick this over a +1 weapon. It may still be too expensive at 2,000 gp.--Dmilewski 07:15, 1 June 2007 (MDT)

OK, we all know that the new items in the MIC are ridiculously broken - most are ridiculously broken even at twice their listed price. Ignoring that, the portable forge is significantly more useful than the portable foxhole (MIC 169) which runs 2,500 gp. A closer comparison would be Personal Oasis (SS 134), as that is also based off of a third level spell and a source of heat, but the personal oasis runs 18,600 gp. That also feels about right to me, as any of my crafting characters would easily find a personal forge to be more than equal to a +3 weapon. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.100.125.13 (talkcontribs) 22:38, 30 March 2009 (MDT).
