Talk:Lucky Bastard (5e Subclass)

I like...[edit]

... the concept, although I probably would have gone in a bit of a different direction with it. Also, bastards are born out of wedlock or are individuals whose fathers are not known, not children of interracial heritage. -- Jota 21:23, 24 January 2009 (MST)

Comment[edit]

Do you think the base attack, save, and abilities are a bit much? --Ganre 03:42, 24 March 2009 (MDT)

The term "luck reroll" is used many, many times throughout the page, but it's never defined. Is that just basically a scrapping of the original roll in favor of a new one? Also, do you get a certain number per day? How many? --Twenty 00:53, 20 August, 2009

I think the luck rerolls are the same ones as depicted in Complete Scoundrel's Luck Feats. Each luck feat grants you some number of rerolls per day and a unique way of using them (ie one for attack, one for caster level, etc). --Kazemi (talk) 21:35, 1 January 2013 (MST)

Pick a Gender[edit]

You need to pick a gender, not write he/she. Traditionally it is the gender of the example character, is there is one. --  Tug   talk    contribs    email   18:22, 18 June 2009 (MDT)

Also... I think that you forgot to add an explanation of "Heroic Destiny." --  Tug   talk    contribs    email   20:58, 21 June 2009 (MDT)

Rating[edit]

Power - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because every thing fits none of the powers are overly powerfull while they may be good in certain situations but that's depending on the players luck. I truly love it, it's new, it's fresh, it seems to be fun to play. It is naturally balanced becouse luck re-rolls are prone to your real luck. It just fits so nicely. Not one single skill is realy overboard, and the BaB fits in two way's: the class is lucky to recieve such attacks in the first place but also it is clearly described in the context. It is very original, it is not some rip off from some basic class anywhere I have looked so far. I like, infact I wanna play! --Crashpilot 12:06, 1 March 2011 (MST)

Wording - 3.5/5 I give this class a 3.5 out of 5 because a lot of the centences seem weird or unnatural, but it is still clear what is written in both effect and function --Crashpilot 12:06, 1 March 2011 (MST)

Formatting - 4.5/5 I give this class a 4.5 out of 5 because the class follows the standard template and is clear in buildup, nothing fancy but also nothing missing --Crashpilot 12:06, 1 March 2011 (MST)

Flavor - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because even though it has some degree of fluffyness it isn't quite up to standard to what I would have liked to see. The background is clear, the bastard portion is clear, it's good but it could be just a tad better that is why I do not give it a 5. --Crashpilot 12:06, 1 March 2011 (MST)
