I can't think of many effects that outright kill. The mind flayer's devour brain. The catoblepas's gaze. You'll also need to find an alternative to round counting. 01:07, 26 February 2013 (MST)

Insurmountable effects all damage which would otherwise kill the individual under its effects as it did in 3.5e, however, just as it did in 3.5e, the individual benefiting from Insurmountable dies afterward. Its effectively a highly improved version of 3.5e's Die Hard.
