Opinions?[edit]

From a gameplay standpoint, what do all you DnD wikian's think of the heni? I know I made them a bit limited in where they can live and operate effectively but I tried to leave some room for the adventurous types. The idea came after I bought the Frostburn: Mastering the Perils of Ice and Snow supplement. The races therein felt very plain and boring to me, so I figured I throw my hand in and try to make my own cold-themed race. Uvū the Realm 10:18, 7 September 2007 (MDT)

Overall, it seems fair (though I am no expert) BUT there are too many bonus feats, and it's constitution bonus should be +2. Never have odd ability score adjustments: it make too little diference to mater. --Sam Kay 10:42, 7 September 2007 (MDT)
Makes sense. I boosted the extra feat to one every five levels (as opposed to one every three levels) and dropped its additional point of Constitution by one. Uvū the Realm 11:24, 7 September 2007 (MDT)
I would say that eventually a character with this race would have too many feats and become imballanced: a bonus feat is quite a good thing. I would have it as one only. --Sam Kay 13:37, 7 September 2007 (MDT)
Well rather than removing it entirely, is there a way to make it balanced? I'm thinking of reworking it like Fighter bonus feats, and even making a bonus feat category that heni have to draw from. Uvū the Realm 04:17, 8 September 2007 (MDT)
Not that I can think of... You would have to increase the LA, and then it would be weaker at 1st-5th (or even higher) than it should be and then it would grow overbalanced. It would be really imbalanced. If you have it as a single bonus feat (like a human) it would be, more or less, balanced. I would suggest, though, getting Mkill to help; he has a good sense of ballance. I think it might need an LA, possibly +1. --Sam Kay 07:23, 8 September 2007 (MDT)
I think I agree with Sam Kay on this one. Giving a base race feats that rely on classvlevel beyond 1st is probably not a good idea. The abilities and bonuses given fit the racial concept pretty well, and I think they would make the race playable on their own. Again, anything after 1st level is probably not a good idea. Hope this helps --Calidore Chase 11:16, 8 September 2007 (MDT)
All right, I'll go with the concensus. I'll drop it down to just one bonus feat. Uvū the Realm 12:02, 8 September 2007 (MDT)
Good! --Sam Kay 12:03, 8 September 2007 (MDT)
Hm, I hope this doesn't make them underpowered, though. Not that I don't trust ya'll but they were never terribly beefy to begin with. I didn't want to gimp them out of practibility. Uvū the Realm 13:00, 8 September 2007 (MDT)
I think it is, more-or-less ballanced. Why not ask Mkill for help; he has a good sense ob ballance. --Sam Kay 13:04, 8 September 2007 (MDT)

User LA Races[edit]

This needs to be added to LA 0 Races. Can you do this or would you prefer I do it? --Green Dragon 19:21, 10 September 2007 (MDT)

Sorry for the late reply. Honesty I'm not sure what you mean. Would you mind adding it and explaining it? Uvū the Realm 04:00, 14 September 2007 (MDT)
