Balance[edit]

Compare this to Green-Flame Blade:

  • First tier, you're doing your spell casting mod to your initial target on a critical hit, instead of to a different target on any hit.
  • Second tier, both deal 1d8 to the target on any hit, and both deal an extra 1d8 + Mod on a condition (BB that you crit, GFB to a different target). The wording here is a little odd, though, so you could interpret the crit damage as jumping straight from +Mod to +2d8+Mod, netting +3d8+MOD on a crit. Regardless of balance opinions, this wording needs to be cleared up.
  • Third tier, both increase the initial damage by 1d8, but only GFB increases the conditional damage as well (unless you read the wording differently than I)
  • Fourth tier, both increase the initial damage by 1d8, but only GFB increases the conditional damage as well (unless you read the wording differently than I)

Overall, wording needs to be cleaned up but balance may be on parr with Green-Flame Blade --66.150.49.10 11:49, 30 May 2023 (MDT)
