Arcane/Divine?[edit]

Does this class cast arcane or divine spells?

Spontaneous/Prepared?[edit]

It doesn't say whether the class is a spontaneous caster or not. Given the fluff I'd suspect prepared, but it'd be nice to have official confirmation on that. --SeekAndDestroy 18:37, 5 March 2009 (MST)

Prepared. I will clarify thusly. -- Eiji 19:47, 5 March 2009 (MST)

Rating[edit]

Power - 4.5/5 I give this class a 4.5 out of 5. I'm looking at the biomancer as more or less a modified druid. First, he can't really go CoDzilla given the nature of cell form, and given the way the benefits scale (spellcasting capability), I have no problem with cell form. Having poor BAB helps a little in that regard. The biomancer spell list is definitely superior, but the wizard style of memorization is balancing, and even with the healing aspects in there, the restriction of spells known is a good counterbalance. The fast healing I have no problem with, but the extra ability boosts, maybe just a little bone to pick. Otherwise its well done. --Jota 14:13, 4 July 2009 (MDT)

Wording -4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because as I mentioned earlier, there was some minor confusion on the microbe touch ability. It is unclear what type of action Body Vigor is. There are a few spelling errors that I caught (devestating, alchemetical, plauge, to name a few I remember), and the Cell Cloud bonus ability is unclear. --Jota 14:13, 4 July 2009 (MDT)

Formatting - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because for the most part it is excellent, although there are two dead linked (still spell, Extended Life Span), I'd like to see the class abilities linked to in the main table, and including a spell known table (rather than simply spelling it out) might be nice. --Jota 14:13, 4 July 2009 (MDT)

Flavor - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because it's an excellent idea that looks like it would be wonderfully fun to play (and I more or less shy away from spellcasters, so that's saying a little something). It's a great compromise between a cleric and druid without trying to out-do either. --Jota 14:13, 4 July 2009 (MDT)

Fast healing and ability bonuses[edit]

I'm not completely sure of the mechanics of this:

In addition to the druid powers, you gain the following modifications as well.
1-3 HD: Share Spells, as the familiar ability of the same name.
4-6 HD: +2 ability score bonus increase
7-9 HD: Fast Healing 1
10-12 HD: +2 ability score bonus increase
13-15 HD: Fast Healing 2
16-18 HD: +2 ability score bonus increase
19+ HD: Fast Healing 3

Are those modifiers for the test subject or are they for the character? And is the HD the character's HD or the test subject's? Axaj 21:16, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

(Notice lack of links or solicitation). This page is outdated. Please contact me on my user page if you wish to know the current status of biomancer. Saying anything else is likely to get me hanged. -- Eiji 03:58, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

ability idea[edit]

Phagocytosis: Your cell cloud wraps around an enemy as the cloud fuses into one giant cell; it engulfs that enemy and grapples them. if the grapple resist check fails then they're stuck in there and your cell form lays a TOTAL UNHOLY BEATDOWN on them with enzymes and other cool cell weapons as your cell form eats them alive. When they are finished it acts like you have been completely nourished.
