Talk:Airship Pilot (3.5e Prestige Class)

Spellwrought Style not that useful[edit]

This class is 1 level long for a spellcaster. Nothing wrong here with giving them +1 caster level at every level of the PrC. Nothing here is powerful enough to justify the loss of a caster level (not that anything ever is, but this class is especially notable). Surgo 18:03, 8 September 2008 (MDT)

Rating[edit]

Power - 4/5 Balanced, however you can't bring your airship in a dungeon. Corrected by the fact you still have sneak attack.--Lord Dhazriel 13:42, 11 February 2009 (MST)

Wording - 5/5 Clean and perfect.--Lord Dhazriel 13:42, 11 February 2009 (MST)

Formatting - 4.5/5 Only the NPC is missing, otherwise everything is clean.--Lord Dhazriel 13:42, 11 February 2009 (MST)

Flavor - 5/5 I love aerial campaign, and flavor is the greatest asset of this class. Clearly a required PrC for all aerial campaign. The flavor of the class is perfect.--Lord Dhazriel 13:42, 11 February 2009 (MST)

Does anyone else...[edit]

Hear any of the following music while reading this prestige class:

  • airship stage from Sonic the Hedgehog 2
  • boss battle from Super Mario Bros. 3
  • The Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner
  • first level boss fight in High Seas Havoc (very obscure, but I hope someone else played that game)

Fairly good[edit]

Rating[edit]

Power - <<<3>>>/5 I give this class a <<<3>>> out of 5 because <<<Almost all abilities are only usable on the airship, and your airship only. Adventurers will leave their ship and at that point, the class isn't that great. I would at least change some abilities to grant bonuses on land also.>>> --173.245.55.68 09:58, 6 July 2011 (MDT)

Wording - <<<4>>>/5 I give this class a <<<4>>> out of 5 because <<<it has a nice balance of fluff and crunch.>>> --173.245.55.68 09:58, 6 July 2011 (MDT)

Formatting - <<<5>>>/5 I give this class a <<<5>>> out of 5 because <<>> --173.245.55.68 09:58, 6 July 2011 (MDT)

Flavor - <<<4>>>/5 I give this class a <<<4>>> out of 5 because <<<It is a relativaly unique class and doesn't have frustrating requirements. However, an airship captain class isn't totally unique.>>> --173.245.55.68 09:58, 6 July 2011 (MDT)

My Review[edit]

Power - 5/5 Being used in an aerial campaign, this is ideal. If i wanted to be a pirate, I could go all stealth mode and sneak attack, or I could go in with trumpets blaring. Not over the top, and a well placed fireball could give you a bad day. -- Irykyl 11:41, 9 February 2012 (MST)

Wording - 5/5 Couldn't find an issue. -- Irykyl 11:41, 9 February 2012 (MST)

Formatting - 4/5 We have NPC names, but WHO are they really? Everything else is nice. -- Irykyl 11:41, 9 February 2012 (MST)

Flavor - 5/5 With the different Captain styles, I find it very well thought. Not everyone leads the same way. Great job! -- Irykyl 11:41, 9 February 2012 (MST)
