Taalamun'krioch[edit]

An enormous beast with a kingly crown clashes with a dragon for control over both of their kingdoms. An intelligent purple worm burrows through the walls of a canyon, forming the tunnels that will become the land it will rule. A Tarrasque in a strange humanoid form sentences traitors to death, turning its thumb claw down in a motion of disapproval. And in wild lands beyond, vicious, simpleton barbarians roam the wild, dangerous expanses.

Welcome to Taalamun'krioch, an infinite world where civilization is cursed by the gods to remain in the Stone Age, and the races of the world remain stupid and simple. However, there is a condition where this can be avoided. Powerful and intelligent beings known as Overlords can start more advanced civilizations at will, pulling humanoids into their service from barbarian tribes that roam the dusty deserts and wild jungles. An overlord can be any creature above a certain power level, and all can attain a humanoid form to interact with their subjects. Some of the largest empires and some of the most unique civilizations in the multiverse exist in this place, and they can fall as quickly as they rise. A realm of chaos and order, however temporary, perfect for a campaign of servitude to powerful beings and coups against god-like kings.
