The Spiteful[edit]

The spiteful are people, of any race, who have been enslaved or created by another against their will. In some way or another, they broke free of their master's will, and are determined to never follow the path their former owner had set for them. Most of their masters are evil and malevolent in nature, and they are determined to be a shining pillar of hope simply out of hate for them. You will be anything and everything you master told you not to be, and they will regret making you. However, you begrudgingly realize that your have picked up several skills while under their rule. You have learned how to disappear quietly when they are thrown into a rage, and how to calmly and casually lie. You've had to speak to all the decadent house guests they've invited, and have picked up a few languages. But who, or what, was your former master? What were they like? Were you created by them, or did they enslave you? Do you know the whereabouts of them? How did you get where you were, and what are you determined to be?

Skill Proficiencies: Stealth, Persuasion

Tool Proficiencies: Mason's tools

Languages: Any two languages

Equipment: Clothes (Common), Mason's tools, Lantern (Hooded), Manacles, Mess kit, Tinderbox, Backpack, Bedroll, Card set.

Specialization[edit]

You were a slave, and are fit to look like one. Pains you as it may, you can easily pretend to side with anyone or anything, and several times you've stolen a meal by pretending to be a servant. If you were more well-known and more malevolent, you could easily own a fortune as an assassin. Why of course heard the legends of Torm! No, you can't read, you're just a simple servant, right?

d6 Specialization
1 I can slip about anywhere, unseen.
2 My rough face hides my cunning.
3 I can trick even scholars and skeptics into believing something.
4 I can easily adopt any faith that is right for the moment.
5 I can pretend to know the topic being spoken and easily pretend I am a savant.
6 My knowledge of poisons and illnesses are not fit for a servant.

Feature: Honest-to-Goodness Coins[edit]

You are built for menial labor, and look like it. As such, you have no problem finding simple work and jobs in small towns, such as collecting wood for a tavern for a night in a room. They never really pay too well, but it's work.

Alternate Feature: Fake Servitude[edit]

You've spent a lifetime as a servant, and know how to move and act as one. As such, you can easily play the slave and move about rich men's estates unnoticed. Just be careful you don't slip up in your time as a (Supposed) Servant, or your 'Master' may notice he's not really your owner at all...
