Spartan Shield

Basically a circular tower shield, the Spartan shield is used both for defense and offense by it's owners. Straping onto the arms of many Spartans, this special shield is formed by wood, covered by 2 layers of leather, then layered twice with bronze. These elements meant that even mighty blows striking the shield would be absorbed in its various layers. It's outer layer may also be painted a design of the user's choice, to inspire fear among enemies or courage throughout allies. [[Category:]]
