Slenderlings[edit]

Personality[edit]

Slenderlings tend to be very antisocial, avoiding any unnecessary confrontations. They will not go into public places willingly. They have an odd attraction to shiny objects, though they don't take them for themselves. Instead, slenderlings will simply move the object to a place they think it will look nicer. Slenderlings will often take a liking to a person who shows valor, good intent, and/or heroism and will follow that person, either from the shadows or, if spotted, right behind them. Slenderlings will assist this person in anything they can, as long as the slenderling sees it as lawful.

Physical Description[edit]

Most slenderlings look like human children, though in rare cases they will have elven features. Slenderlings normally have blue, green, or brown eyes, like humans and elves, but in some cases they will have completely black eyes, like polished obsidian. They stand anywhere from three to four feet tall and weigh about forty to sixty pounds. Their skin color is pale.

Relations[edit]

Most races avoid slenderlings, due to the unnatural aura around them and their young appearance. More savage races either hate or fear them, sometimes both. Slenderlings are most welcomed among paladins, gnomes, and halflings, though they are still watched with a close eye and a wary sword.

Alignment[edit]

Slenderlings are always Lawful Good or Lawful Neutral.

Lands[edit]

Even though slenderlings are mostly antisocial, they tend to live in densely populated areas, like cities, large towns, and along popular roadways.

Religion[edit]

Slenderlings don't worship any deities.

Language[edit]

Slenderlings have no spoken language of their own, since they cannot speak, but they do have a written language they call Slend. Other races can learn Slend, but it is almost impossible due to the complexity of the language itself and that not many slenderlings are willing to teach it.

Names[edit]

Slenderlings don't usually have names, but if they are given a name by someone they admire, they will use it until their 'hero's' replacement gives them a new one.
