Potions and Poisons (Demon Slayer Supplement)
Wisteria Poison[edit]
Poison, Rare
This violet-hued toxin, distilled from the sacred Wisteria flower, is deadly to demonic creatures. When applied to a weapon (lasts 1 minute or until a successful hit), it affects only demons.
Wisteria Weakness. A Demon struck by a weapon coated in this poison must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the demon takes 6d6 poison damage and is paralyzed for 1 minute. On a success, the creature takes half damage and suffers no additional effects. An affected creature can attempt the saving throw again at the end of its turns.
Weak Dose. Non-demons are unaffected. A Demon who succeeds on three saving throws against this poison becomes immune to that batch for 24 hours.
Can also be released as a 10-foot-radius gas cloud, requiring all demons in the area to make the same save.
Shinobu's Compound Poison[edit]
Poison, Very Rare
A custom mixture crafted by the Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho, this poison combines wisteria and other compounds to overcome demon regeneration.
Powerful Concoction. A Demon struck by this poison must make a DC 17 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 6d6 poison damage, cannot regenerate hit points for 1 minute, and has disadvantage on attack rolls and ability checks for 1 minute. On a successful save, it takes half damage and no other effects.
If a creature is slain by this poison, its body decays rapidly and can only be revived by a Wish spell or similar divine intervention.
Anti-Muzan Drug[edit]
Poison, Legendary
This four-stage compound, created by Tamayo, is a legendary poison designed to destroy the progenitor of demons.
Careful Application. Must be administered over four rounds (or via massive dose) into a Demon. Administering the poison makes the creature undergo a DC 18 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, the poison takes effect, and proceeds to the next stage on the beginning of the creature's turns:
- Humanization Attempt. DC 18 Constitution save. On failure, the target loses access to legendary actions and lair actions for 1 minute.
- Cellular Degeneration. Target takes 8d6 necrotic damage. Regeneration is disabled.
- Aging Acceleration. Target gains 1 level of exhaustion per round for 3 rounds.
- Cellular Collapse. Target takes 50 force damage. If reduced to 0 HP, the target is obliterated and cannot be resurrected except by a Wish spell.
Only affects demons. Works once per creature; if resisted, that demon becomes permanently immune.
Humanization Potion[edit]
Potion, Legendary
This rare serum was developed by Tamayo to revert demons to their human form.
Humanization. A Demon that drinks this potion must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature permanently reverts to a human and loses all demonic abilities. On a successful save, nothing happens.
Only works on demons with some remaining humanity or emotion.
Shinobu's Insect Venoms[edit]
Poison, Uncommon
A concentrated venom derived from wisteria and tailored to Shinobu's weaponry.
Venom. On a successful weapon hit, a Demon must make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, it takes 3d6 poison damage and has disadvantage on Constitution saves for 1 minute.
Multiple Mixes.
- Sleep Venom. On a second failed save, the creature falls unconscious for 1 minute.
- **Pain Venom. Target has disadvantage on melee attacks for 1 minute.
Applies to one slashing or piercing weapon for 1 minute.
Demon Slayer's Healing Ointment[edit]
Potion, Common
An herbal remedy used by the Demon Slayer Corps for emergency treatment.
Ointment. Restores 2d4 + 2 hit points and removes the Bleeding or poisoned condition. Also grants advantage on the next saving throw against exhaustion or poison made within the next hour.
Breathing Enhancer Inhalant[edit]
Potion, Rare
An herbal vapor compound used to enhance a Slayer's breathing form under pressure.
Boost. For 1 minute, the user has advantage on Constitution saving throws and deals +2 damage with weapon and Breath-style attacks.
After the effect ends, the user must make a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or gain 1 level of exhaustion. Each use beyond the first in a 24-hour period increases the DC by 5.
Demon Blood Art Suppressant[edit]
Poison, Very Rare
A rare compound designed to prevent demons from accessing their supernatural blood arts.
Suppressant. A demon hit by this poison or exposed to it via inhalation must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature cannot use any spell-like or supernatural abilities for 1 minute. If it attempts to do so, it takes 2d6 psychic damage per attempt.
No effect on non-demons.
