Orecutter Dwarves (Urdunnir)[edit]

Orecutter dwarves or urdunnir are dwarves blessed by Dumathoin, the dwarven God of Secrets. Orecutter dwarves live in the most remote parts of the Underdark, effectively cut off from the rest of the world, being almost mythical to most other dwarves.

The skin and hair of most urdunnir takes on shades of bluish gray. Otherwise, they are largely similar to hill dwarves in terms of build. As part of Dumathoin's transformation, urdunnir must subsist off of gemstones rather than food, which can quickly become expensive in most economies, though their own settlements are blessed with gem veins that regrow each day. These veins are the lifeblood of the urdunnir, and many settlements would rather be destroyed entirely than let them fall into another's hands.

Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 1 and your Wisdom score increases 1.
Earth Glide. As an action, you may call upon Dumathoin. For up to 1 minute with concentration, you gain a burrowing speed equal to half your walking speed, rounded up. You can only burrow through nonmagical, unworked stone and earth using this trait, and you cannot breathe while within stone or earth. You do not leave a tunnel behind or any evidence of your passage. After you use this trait, you can’t use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
Earth's Blessing. You know the mold earth cantrip. At 5th level, you can cast the stone shape spell once with this trait, requiring no material components, and you regain the ability to cast it this way when you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for this spell.
Gem Eater. You do not need to eat or drink, though you may choose to do so. If you do not consume at least 5 sp of gemstones each day, you gain 1 level of exhaustion.
