Order of Monster Slayers (5e Background)
Order of Monster Slayers[edit]
The Order of Monster Slayers is an order composed of mutated human hunters. This order specializes in tracking and killing monsters. However, they only work for money and almost never for free. However, pragmatic as they are, they rarely accept contracts other than monsters.
Requirements: You must have a subclass or a mutated class, as well as be human, to play it.
Skill Proficiencies: Choose two skills from: Nature, Arcana, Religion, Survival, Stealth, Perception, or Investigation
Tool Proficiencies: alchemical tools, herbalist's kit
Languages: Nothing
Equipment: A silver longsword, hunter's badge, alchemy kit, herbalist's kit, a set of 10 hooks for hanging trophies, a trophet of a defeated creature, a pouch of 15 gold.
Feature: Hunter's Perception[edit]
You are able to sense and perceive things better than a typical human. Your senses are heightened. Enough to spot details impossible to see with the naked eye or too faint to be heard. You have advantage on perception rolls using sight or hearing.
Feature: Member of the Order[edit]
You know where to find members of your order no matter where you are (using your DM's world logic). You can therefore find them and thus gain some advantages. When you find members of your order, you can exchange information with them. You can also buy or sell concoctions with them. If you find one of the hunters' districts, you will have free lodging. You can also easily find work there. Finally, only you can benefit from all these advantages.
