More information...

Nesthene crawlers look as if you were to take a sickly humanoid shape and splice it with a demonic mole. Sprouting large claws, small, beady eyes, and a large maw. A typical adult crawler grows to 4-5 feet in height, and usually weighs a little less than 100 pounds. Females are slightly smaller and slimmer than males. Nesthene crawlers do not speak any languages, but communicate with growls and screeches.

How have these vile creatures come into being?[edit]

It is of common knowledge that nesthene crawlers were created by Nesthene herself. Being the Goddess of monstrosities, it only makes sense. When Nesthene first came into being she looked upon all the creatures of Valshock that her fellow deities created. Each so beautiful. She then looked into the sea and witnessed her own monstrous visage. Terrified of herself she fled the light and welcomed darkness. There she was discovered by a very handsome human male. As soon as discovering Nesthene, he declared her a beast in which should be destroyed by the light and proceeded to attack her. Nesthene, in self defense, killed the being that attacked her, but was jealous of it's beauty... as well as all other pretty things in the world. After a while contemplating her own image... she grew to despise the beauty of other beings that she did not have... Soon after, she decided that she was instead; real beauty. For to her, beauty was what she desired to be, and so she became beautiful. Or so she says. She then wanted to create beauty of her own like the other deities. Just as that thought crossed over into her mind, a mole crawled out of the earth next to the body of the man. She then thought "This creature was far more beautiful than that corpse... but I could improve both". At that moment she bonded the two, human corpse and subterranean rodent. This created the nesthene crawlers in her own vision of beauty and was her first child and one of her most beloved.

Combat[edit]

Nesthene crawlers normally attack only when outnumbering their prey or starved. They also sometimes attack on orders from Nesthene priests or their mother, herself. Crawlers like to ambush their prey in large numbers, some popping up from beneath their target and others from other advantageous areas. Upon contact with their target, they try to slash away at their enemies using their long, sharp claws. Despite greater numbers, nesthene crawlers will tend to flee if the battle does not seem to go their way.
