You find a tiny centaur made of stone with hands and feet of dense metal. It's carrying an object larger than it is. Uh oh...

Microhurler Homunculi are creatures created by the spell Ell's Handy Homunculus. They are said to have been an experiment to try and get the power of the Hulking Hurler in small scale. They almost succeeded, as this homunculi has one heck of a throwing arm.

While generally constructs are neutral, a homunculi picks up the alignment of its creator on casting.

Combat[edit]

Handy homunculi make poor weapons. But this one was really designed for combat, if support use. They can launch items, good and ill, from far away.

Launch (Su)

With a supernatural thrust you release an item you're holding. Once every 1d4 rounds you may use either Launch Bolt or Launch Item, both from the Spell Compendium.

Construction[edit]

The body is made of stone and steel, with the core crystal often embedded in the chest. A drop of the caster's blood is anointed in the statue's hands, which will bring life to the lifeless carving on casting Ell's Handy Homunculus. The entire cost of supplies equals 500 gp.

Assembling the body requires a DC 15 Craft (metalworking) or Craft (stonework) check.

CL 1st; Ell's Handy Homunculus, Launch Item (Magic of Faerun, pg 105), Launch Bolt (Magic of Faerun, pg 105); Never sold; Cost 500 gp + 25 XP.
