A large hornet hums before you, it's skin almost metallic with a glassy needle stinger filled with amber liquid..
Maker Homunculi are creatures created by the spell Ell's Handy Homunculus. They may look a little frightening, but the main use of their stinger is to spray out a wax-like substance they craft into various shapes with their nimble handles and precision.
While generally constructs are neutral, a homunculi picks up the alignment of its creator on casting.
Handy homunculi make poor weapons. While the initial damage of the stinger is nothing to be impressed by, it can be used to deliver a poison. For the most part however, the makers stay in homes crafting knick knacks of various sorts.
- Creation Wax (Su)
A maker homunculi may craft cheap and fragile, useless items in the same manner as the spell prestidigitation.
The body is made of stone and metal, with the core crystal often embedded in the forehead. A drop of the caster's blood is placed on the back near the base of the wings, which causes them to twitch with life on casting Ell's Handy Homunculus. The entire cost of supplies equals 500 gp.
Assembling the body requires a DC 15 Craft (metalwork) or Craft (stonework) check.
