Lady of Pain[edit]

Warlock Subclass

Somewhere in your past, you have done something to truly anger the Lady of Pain. As she was not feeling particularly merciful that day, she did not maze or flay you. She did something much, much worse. She invested you with her power and branded you with an emblem. Now, almost anyone who finds out you have gifts from her will be after you, either to ask you questions, or dissect you themselves. You will never know peace, even in death, for surely even in the afterlife you will be endlessly questioned and hunted. Make no mistake. This pact is the worst punishment possible.

Sigil's Emblem

By 6th level, the emblem has grown in power due to the bloodshed around you. You gain resistance to all slashing damage, magical or no. As part of an attack you may brand the target creature with a similar Emblem as yours but is only visible to you and Lady of Pain. The branded creature is vulnerable to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage for the first time you deal damage to it each turn.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Pain's Shield

At 10th level, Lady Pain grants you even more of her powers so you provide even more amusement. You gain advantage on death saving throws, you can change any damage type you do to slashing.

Pain's Acceptance

At 14th level, She has grown fond of you and want to see how far you can go with a portion of her powers. Whenever you reduce the target of Sigil's Emblem to 0 hit points you heal your Charisma modifier + your warlock level, you may also choose another target within 15 feet to transfer the emblem to. If there are no targets to transfer to, the feature is no longer active, and you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
