Kūha[edit]

Fighter Subclass

This fighting technique, invented by Momotarō, uses a series of flowing, swift movements to strike down powerful foes. These movements, performed correctly, grant powers by synchronizing with cosmic forces. The illusions summoned are believed to be hints at the appearance of the creator. This fighting style was originally designed to be used against large numbers of foes, but can be used to take down a single, powerful foe.

Kata of Blade's Edge

Starting at 3rd level, you can draw or stow two weapons when you would be able to draw or stow only one, and you can engage in two-weapon fighting with longswords.

In addition, when you are engaged in two-weapon fighting, if you hit a creature with both your attack made as part of an Attack action and the bonus action attack, you can make a third attack using a longsword as a reaction.

Finally, you can use your honed speed defensively. You can use your reaction to give yourself a bonus of +2 to your AC against melee weapon attacks, while you are not wearing armor or using a shield, lasting until the start of your next turn by a barrier of whirling swords.

Blurring Kata

Starting at 3rd level, whenever succeed on an attack roll by 3 or more, the blur spell is instantly cast on yourself, lasting for the next minute or until you make another attack.

Kata of Speed

Starting at 7th level, whenever you hit with three attacks in a turn, you can move up to your movement speed towards a hostile creature. If you end your movement within reach, you can make an attack with a longsword you are wielding against it, no action required. You have advantage on this attack roll.

Kata of Vision

Starting at 10th level, whenever you use your Action Surge to take the Attack action, your magical Kata allows you to glimpse the future, anticipating your opponents next moves. Any creature you hit with an attack in this turn have Disadvantage on attacks against you until the start of your next turn.

Kata of Iron Wind

At 15th level, your melee attacks have reached a point where their speed physically slams the air with enough force to create deadly "blade winds" like the ones encountered on pandemonium and the elemental plane of air. You can make attacks with your longswords at a range of 30 feet.

In addition, a creature hit by an attack made at a range of 10 feet or further is pushed 10 feet back by it. The same creature can be pushed by this attack once per turn.

Kata of Onis Last Breath

Learned at 18th level, this is the technique that the legendary Momotarō used to defeat the oni army. When you use Action Surge to take the Attack action, you can make twice the number of attacks as part of that action. Each attack is made at advantage.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or a long rest.
