Lore[edit]

With a successful History, check, a player knows the following information:

DC 10: Gundyr's Halberd is said to be indestructible, and was given to him as a gift. He has since been corrupted by a writhing abomination, tainted by the Abyss with a will of its own.

DC 15: Once a champion, who sought to link the First Flame, Gundyr arrived late to the Firelink Shrine, his firekeeper was already killed, and the shrine was flameless. Bested by an unknown warrior, he was sheathed to the Coiled Sword, so that one day, the First Flame could be linked. Gundyr became a judge, awaiting the arrival of ash to give the Coiled Sword.

Encounters[edit]

As a Solo monster, Iudex Gundyr can easily be used as a standalone creature, or a boss for starting adventures, and that was how he was intended to be used. Feel free to use him however you like, however.

Gundyr is a towering warrior, wearing intricate cast-iron armor, and wielding a halberd. Oily black tendrils constantly spill and squirm out of his back.
