More information...

The creature looks roughly like a dome of flesh, with coloration of indigo that reflects light like a dull metal. From the bottom of the body, many legs armed with sharp claws emerge. On the surface of its body there are many eyes of various size, and its eyes changes size like a balloon that has air pumped in or out at a random rate.

The inooa is the predator of the Limbo. Both githzerais and slaadi fear this creature that can travel through unstable areas of Limbo. It makes good use of the gravity and falls towards its victim, breaking through any sort of barricades. Although it has no need to eat, it acts as if it enjoys consuming another creature, which makes others think that the inooa originated from the material realm and remolded to fit the chaotic planes. Usually they are found alone, but occasionally one can find them clustered together in a mob as a result of a mother spawning several children. Even when thrown into another realm that is potentially disastrous, the inooa is usually able to cope with it by changing forms.

Combat[edit]

The inooa likes to drop down on a group of unsuspecting victims, and then hits as many of them as it can with its gaze attack.

Death Throes (Ex): When killed, an inooa explodes in a 30 feet radius burst that deals 2d4 points of wisdom damage to everything in the area (Will DC 19 negates). This wisdom damage does not affect another inooa.

Fear Gaze (Su): An inooa can make a gaze attack against up to 4 creatures within 60 feet of it. Because the inooa's body is filled with so many eyes, averting eyes gives only 20% chance of not making a save throw unlike 50% for a normal gaze attack. Even a mirror reflection of inooa can affect creatures with a gaze attack with a chance of two attempts to save instead of one, but an illusion of inooa does not. The save DC for this gaze is 21. Creatures affected by inooa's gaze are panicked for 1d4 round, but a successful will save will instead shaken for 1 round.

Paralysis (Ex): A creature hit by the inooa's claw attack must succeed on a DC 19 Fortitude save or become paralyzed for 1d4 round.

Chaotic Morph (Su): An inooa has the ability to change its form in a way that it thinks is the most fitting for the situation. Using a full round action, the inooa can transform into Normal form, Hulk form, Slim form, Wing form, Blob form, or Core form.

Revealing Vision (Su): An inooa's bloating eyes not only gives it good vision, but it can also see through what normal creatures cannot. A miss chance of 20% provided by concealment is ignored by the inooa.
