Becoming a Halfling Defense Force Carrier[edit]

When choosing fight or flight these Halflings have incredible talent for both.

Entry Requirements
Alignment: Any Good or Neutral.
Base Attack Bonus: +3.
Race: Halfling.
Skills: Balance 5 Ranks, Climb 5 Ranks, Jump 5 Ranks, Tumble 5 Ranks.
Feats: Run, Fleet of Foot, Weapon Proficiency (Quarterstaff).

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Halfling Defense Force Carrier (HDFC).

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: HDFC are proficient with all simple weapons &and light armor, but not shields.

Fast Movement (Ex): A HDFC’s land speed is faster than the norm for his race by +10 feet every odd level. This benefit applies only when he is wearing no armor, light armor carrying a heavy load.

Sprinter (Ex): An HDFC can begin at a full sprint at will.

Shadow Jump (Su): At 3rd level, the HDFJ gains the ability to travel between shadows as if by means of a dimension door spell (20ft at 3rdd, 30ft at 6th, 40ft at 9th, etc).

Wall Run (Ex): At full sprint an HDFC can run up a wall equal to movement speed.

Gift of a Goddess (Ex): At 4th and 8th level, HDFJ increases their ability to use shadows in Syncronization with their Quarterstaff. At 4th level she gains the ability to shrink her Weapon into the Shadow of her Palm. At 8th level she gains the ability to extend her quarterstaff up to 4 times her height. At 19th level she gains Improved Unarmed Combat as a bonus feat, including adding the Dex modifier to every Unarmed attack, unarmed damage also improves to 1d6.

Staff Jump (Ex): Add 5ft x Str Modifier to Jump Distance when vaulting with quarterstaff.

Hide in Plain Sight (Ex): A HDFJ Agent can use her Hide skill even while being observed. As long as she is within 10ft of any shadow. She cannot, however, hide in her own shadow.

Wall Jump (Ex): While running up or on a wall HDFC's may perform a Jump check with no penalty.

Stealthy Run (Ex): Can Run at Half Movement Speed with -5 to Hide and Move Silently.

Shadow Run (Su): While running in a shadow can run full Movement Speed with no penalty to Hide and Move Silently.

Running Tumble (Ex): Can Tumble at ful movement speed.

Ex-Halfling Defense Force Carrier[edit]

An Ex HDFC does not lose any powers grant by this class.

Playing a Halfling Defense Force Carrier[edit]

Combat: An HDFC uses speed and well placed strikes in battle.

Advancement: Rogue.

Resources: Excellent Recon.

An HDFC in the World[edit]

Flight or fight? Time for me to run.

HDFC are great and carrying messages long distances and being a scout to a larger group.

NPC Reactions: Usually considered lethal when experienced.
