Half Moon Fae (5e Race Variant)

Human Variant[edit]

There are stories of human children and babies spirited away from their homes and cribs in the dead of night. Despite the luminous moonlight, there would be no witnesses. This is the work of the moon fae. They are known to imprint on the babies they kidnap, raising them with exposure to their own being. This notably warps the youngster's body and has them take on properties of the moon fae. Most notable are the silvery blotches of hair and vibrant magenta eyes they come to have. They also become highly attuned to moonlight, and can even channel their powers.

The base human's ability score increases are all replaced with the following traits below:

Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and your Charisma score also increases by 2.

Moonlit Intuition. You have advantage on initiative rolls while in moonlight.

Luminous Guidance. You know the light cantrip. Starting at 3rd level, you can cast the moonbeam spell once, as a 2nd-level spell, without material components. You must finish a long rest before casting this spell this way again. Charisma is your spellcasting modifier for this spell.
