Physical Description[edit]

The Half-Dryads are very beautiful women, their ears are similar to those of the elves and their skin is white and smooth. The color of their hair depends on the period of their birth and sometimes their father, unlike the Dryads, their hair does not change with the seasons. The color of their hair corresponds to the color of the leaves at the time of their birth. Their silhouette is slim and they are usually quite tall.

History[edit]

The Half-Dryads have been around almost as long as the Dryads themselves but remain a rare breed. They are the fruit of the union of a man and a Dryad and have, throughout history, served as an intermediary between the outside world and the very closed circle of Dryads. Some Half-Dryads have become legends and even deities. Their fairy character and their link with the deities of nature gave them the status of demi-goddess among the less educated populations.

Society[edit]

Most Half-Dryads stay with their mothers, grow up and live as full-fledged Dryads even though their hybrid character often pushes them to be the intermediaries with the outside world if necessary. Dryads and their hybrid daughters live in a closed circle, avoiding contact with the world, so the birth of a Half-Dryad is a particularly rare event. In some cases, both mother and daughter are cast out of the sacred territory, but often the Half-Dryad is considered a sister of the circle despite her lesser abilities.
