Warlock Subclass

Maybe you chose this path for a little power of your own? Perhaps you chose it to tear down those who already have it? But one way or the other you've entered Gritty's notice and entered a deal with them. Now, Gritty is not an evil being; although they are an irrefutably and untenably chaotic one. Regardless the standing of an individual or collective, Gritty retaliates to slights and mistreatment with retribution several times over. Though Gritty is not mindless and undiscerning, they do not seek out the already downtrodden. As those up on top are oh so much more fun to drag down to the bottom. For if they cannot survive what they look down upon, then they should not have created it in their fervor to make an on top in the first place. So it seems fitting for Gritty to break them from the high power up top to a down below. Into the dirt, where all which end will arrive. And all which is what which ends. Gritty will see to that.

Starting at 6th Level, you can start emanating an unsettling presence that is reminiscent to that of your patron. When you take melee damage, you can use your reaction to have the attacking creature make a Wisdom Saving Throw (with a Save DC equal to that of your Spell Save DC). On a failure, The creature becomes Frightened. At the end of each of its turns the target can make another Wisdom saving throw. On a success, the Condition ends.

Once you use this feature an number of times equal to half of your Warlock level rounded down, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Also, any creature attempting scrying, thought detection, or any other method of magically learning or reading your thoughts must make a Wisdom Saving Throw (with a Save DC equal to that of your Spell Save DC). A target takes 2d10 Psychic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If you consented to a specific instance of a scrying, thought detection, or any other method of magically learning or reading your thoughts then the damage is only 1d8 Psychic damage on a failed save & no damage on a successful one.
