Gravemarked[edit]
Whether you were born on a battlefield or rose from a family line that lost everything, death follows you like a shadow — and it whispers to you. You wear grief like a second skin, but it does not weaken you. It shields you. Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution and Wisdom score increases by 1 Age. Gravemarked mature at a normal human pace, though the constant presence of death lends them a prematurely weathered look. Most live standard lifespans unless claimed early by the burdens they carry. Alignment. Gravemarked often walk a quiet, reflective path, shaped by loss. While many tend toward neutrality, those who act in memory of the fallen may adopt lawful or good alignments. Size. Gravemarked are Medium, often stocky or stooped under the weight of heirlooms, armor, or sorrow. Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet. |
Ancestral Resolve. When you are reduced to half your hit points or less, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level plus half you level rounded down (minimum of 1) at the start of your next turn. You can use this trait once per long rest. |
Burdened but Unbroken. You have advantage on saving throws against fear, and you have advantage in Death Saving Throws. |
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language (often the tongue of a former homeland or military faction). |
