Experiment

A collection of Death Paintings, a race that often has the Experiment background.

Experiments are beings who were altered in some way, either before their birth or in their childhood, resulting in some form of abnormality. Because of this, Experiments are often strange and unusual, with atypical outlooks on life.

Skill Proficiencies: You are proficient in Arcana and one more skill of your choice.

Tool Proficiencies: One artisan's tool of your choice or Talismans.

Equipment: One martial or simple weapon of your choice and a set of clothing (commoner's clothes).

Feature: Unique Background

Due to your changed nature, you have unique abilities. You gain one background feat that is not the Special Grade Curse, Six Eyes, Cursed Partner, and Star Plasma Vessel feats.

Alternate Feature: Grotesque Mutation

Due to your changed nature, your body is twisted and bizarre. You gain two points which can be spent in the body functions list. If you are a Death Painting with the Amalgamation or Near Curse subrace, these points are added to the ones gained from Partial Spirit Body or Spirit Body, and if you are any type of death painting, you can forsake these body points to gain the Cursed Biology Feat, regardless of if you are a Near Human, Near Curse, True Born or Amalgamation.

1	The one who experimented on me is part of one of the great sorcerer families, leading to me holding contempt for them as a whole.
2	I always felt and still feel alone due to my unusual nature.
3	I have a sibling or siblings who were also experimented on, and I would do anything for them.
4	I'm very fond of some people I have met in my new life.
5	I am extremely attached and hold great loyalty to the one who experimented on me, viewing them as a parent.
6	I hold a great deal of hatred for the one who experimented on me, swearing vengeance on them.

1	I believe that I will never be accepted, leading me to turn my back on the world.
2	I am incredibly naive and will trust people I probably shouldn't.
3	I hold contempt for normal people, believing them to be weak and therefore worthless.
4	I will destroy anyone who so much as lays a finger on those I care about.
5	I'm ashamed of my unusual appearance, and will attempt to kill any who witness it.
6	I believe Sorcery to be a vile thing and reject it wholeheartedly.
