Elves, Wolf (3.5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Wolf Elves serve as the guides and protectors of the forests and the beasts dwelling inside. Wolf elves are the spawn of wood elves and lycanthropic magic and have the power of both. Their story begins with the ancient war between the five Elven powers: Blade Elves, High Elves, the Lunar Elves, Sea Elves, and Wood Elves. The Blade Elves, being the strongest of the five, were easily overpowering the each of the others. The Lunar Elves were forced underground, where after a millennium of living in such a harsh environment, became what is now known as the Drow. The High Elves, wishing for no further bloodshed, surrendered to the might of the Blade Elves. The Sea Elves, being the most fragile of the Elven powers, fled to the deep, where no one could follow them. The Wood Elves, being the last of the powers that hadn't falling to the onslaught of the Blade Elves, stayed deep within the dark reaches of their forests, believing they would remain safe from the Blade Elves. Soon, the Blade Elves began to burn down the forests, leaving the Wood Elves far too weak to stand against the blade elves any longer. So they looked to the power of their protectors and infused their greatest warriors with the power of the wolves to wield the greatest weapon the forest could create, the Wolf Elves. With the newfound power of the beast, walking in elves skin, the Wood Elves were able to bring the Blade Elves down, and bring peace back to the forest and the world once again. After the great Elven war, these Wolf Elves were no longer required, and so the other races of elves and even their own brothers and sisters, the Wood Elves, began to shun them. The Wolf Elves left the treetop villages of their kind and ran wild with their new brothers and sisters the beasts of the world.
Wolf Elves prefer to travel in packs, due to their wolf-like nature and will help any woodland creature they come across in need. Wolf Elves will strike down anyone they deem a threat to the forest and those who live within.
Wolf Elves stand to be around one of the tallest of the elves. Only elves that rival their height are the Blade Elves. Males grow to be around 6'0" to 7'3" tall. Females being a bit shorter stand around 6'0" to 6'7" feet tall. Wolf Elves weigh far heavier than their old brothers, the Wood Elves, being built far stronger, weighing around 170 to 200 lbs and female being lighter around 150 to 160 lbs. Wolf Elves also have wolf-like hair or fur all over their bodies and usually will have a bit of facial hair much more so than other elves, however nowhere near as much as dwarves. Wolf Elves will most of the time wear their hair down, long and free. Their bodies usually covered in scars from fights with other wolf elves or others that would fight with them.
Wolf Elves get along with creatures of the forest. They have mixed feeling towards Wood Elves from being shunned by them, however still feel a link between them and hate blade elves with every fibre of their nature. They will get along well with those who treat the forest with respect but will attack anyone that threaten the forests or the creatures that live within.
Wolf Elves can be chaotic or lawful.
Wolf Elves live in large forests and woodlands. Some will also live in mountain valleys and anywhere that wolves hunt. Wolf Elves will never live underground.
