Draconic Knight[edit]

Fighter Subclass

Powerful warriors that carry within them the might of dragons, the draconic knights are servants of dragon gods, that have been blessed by their service with the ability to mimic the power of dragons. These knights follow a code of conduct enforced by the order of draconic knights they serve, that changes depending on the draconic entity they devote themselves too. The more commonly found draconic knights are either members of the orders of Bahamut or Tiamat. Servants of Bahamut roam the world, searching for evil doers and scaled tyrants that use their draconic might to oppress their victims. Servants of Tiamat are cruel ravagers, that unleash the destructive wrath of the dragon queen, in order to show her might and dominance to the world, and often act as dragon slayers, mercilessly killing metallic dragons.

Sense Dragons

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to magically sense the presence of dragons. As an action, you detect the distance and direction to the closest creature with the dragon type within 1 mile of you. In addition, choose one dragon affinity: black, copper, bronze, blue, red, golden, white, green, silver or brass. This ability is always active for dragons from your chosen affinity.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Dragon Form

At 3rd level, you can use your Action to assume the form of a dragon-humanoid hybrid. You gain the following benefits while in this form:

Increased Size. Your size becomes Large, if it is lower.
Dragon Scales. Your skin grow scales thick as wyrmling scales. While not wearing armor, your AC equals 14 + your proficiency bonus.
Elongated Limbs. Due to your size increase, your melee weapon attacks can be made up to a range of 10 feet.
Menacing Appearance. Your likeness is terrifying. You have advantage on Charisma (Intimidation) checks, and disadvantage on any other Charisma checks you make.

This form lasts until the start of your next turn. If you start your turn in the Dragon Form, you can use your bonus action in each turn to maintain the dragon form active.

Dragon's Rage

Finally, at 3rd level, you have the pride of dragons, that manifest in a furious anger when a creature dares to harm you. When you take damage from a melee weapon attack, you can use your reaction to mark the attacker as a target of your Dragon's Rage. For the next minute, you can make a melee weapon attack against the target of your dragon's rage using a bonus action. If you are in your Dragon Form while dragon's rage is active, you can make the melee weapon attack as a reaction, rather than using a bonus action.

The rage ends if you are knocked unconscious, if the target of your rage dies or if you haven't attacker or been attacked by the target of your rage since your last turn. You can't cast or concentrate on spells while you are in dragon's rage.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain your uses after finishing a long rest.

Frightful Presence

At 7th level, your presence can inspire terror in the hearts of your enemies. Using an action, you can force each hostile creature within 30 feet of you that can see you to succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier) or be frightened of you until the end of your next turn.

Draconic Force

When you reach the 10th level, you gain the might of dragons. Your Strength score increase in 2, up to a maximum of 22.

Wings

The dragon power within you has developed enough for you to grow you own pair of wings. At 15th level, you gain a flying speed equal to your movement speed. While not using the wings to fly, you can use them to protect you from the elements. When you fail a saving throw that would reduce acid, cold, fire, lighting or poison damage to half, you can use your reaction to reroll the save, if you are not flying.

Breath Weapon

Also at 18th level, you can unleash a powerful breath attack. Force all creatures within a 60-foot cone to make a Dexterity saving throw, or take 8d8 damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. The damage type depends on your chosen dragon affinity: acid (black or copper), cold (silver or white), fire (brass, gold or red), lightning (blue or bronze) and poison (green).

Once you use this breath weapon, you can't do it again until you finish a long rest.
