Dark Aberrations[edit]

Physical Description[edit]


Dark Aberrations are tall faceless beings made of a sludge like black essence.They have very long arms and walk bent over with their arms hanging. A Dark Aberration's voice is low, throaty and emotionless.


Most Dark Aberrations are created to serve other powerful magic users such as Witches or Wizards. On the other hand, some have been known to appear naturally due to large magic oriented events. These natural born Dark Aberrations have their own conscience and act more like humans than servants.


Dark Aberrations that serve act and are treated like subhuman servants, which are barely acknowledged by society. Natural born Dark Aberrations often wander the world either on a personal quest or to find a place where they can live a normal life.

Dark Aberrations Names[edit]

Dark Aberrations who serve other magic users are often unnamed, or have names given to them by their masters. Natural born Dark Aberrations often name themselves.

Dark Aberrations Traits[edit]

Tall faceless beings made out of black sludge like essence.
Ability Score Increase. increase one ability of your choice by 2
Age. Dark Aberrations look the same from the day they are made to the day they die. Most Dark Aberrations live up to 500 years.
Alignment. Servant Dark Aberrations have the same alignment as their masters. Natural born Dark Aberrations have known to be all alignments.
Size. All Dark Aberrations are known to to be between 4 and 7 feet tall. Due to a Dark Aberrations's fluid form, they can change their height at will. Your size is medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 40 feet. Due to their fluid form and swift movement they are slightly faster than most species.
Fluid Bodies. Once every long rest you can enter Fluid Form which can be canceled at anytime. While fluid you (and everything you are carrying) can fit into 1 by 1 inch gaps, and become resistant to non magical piercing and slashing damage. As soon as you cast any spells, attack a creature, or take damage Fluid Form is canceled. at 9th level you are allowed to walk through walls. If Fluid Form is canceled, and you are in a area that can not fit your normal form, you are pushed out to the closest area that you can fit, and take damage 3x your character level. At 1st level Fluid Form lasts for 1 minute. At 14th level it lasts for an hour. You can not take rests while in "fluid form"
Being of Magic. Dark Aberrations do not need to eat, drink, or breathe. They also are resistant to poisons and diseases and have darkvision up to 60 feet.
Shape Body. Dark Aberrations can make themselves look like anyone they have seen but can not talk like them or effectively imitate their walk/stance. The dark aberrations disguise can be discovered by passing a insight check of 10. Furthermore anyone who has had previous interactions with the person the Dark Aberration is impersonating automatically passes this check.
Languages. Common, plus one of your choice.
