Variant Clases : Unearthed Arcana[edit]

Unearthed Arcana has many class variants that can be useful in a West World.

Barbarians[edit]

Barbarian Natives can use a Totem . A foreigner barbarian does not gain the standard fast movement, uncanny dodge and improved uncanny dodge barbarian class features, instead he gains the following abilities.

   * literacy for free
   * At 2nd-level  gains a +2 bonus on Intimidate checks.
   * At 6th level, one fighter bonus feat.

Bards[edit]

Native bards are Savage bards, and because they focus on oral tradition they are illiterate.

Clerics[edit]

Clerics are almost always foreigners, the Cloistered Cleric looks like a 1800 cleric, I would just add that lore is to reasearch only about foreigner's knowledge, and that they take only two domains(not three), and only if one of those domains is Knowledge they got the extended spell list.At first level clerics can't take any of the following domains: Plant,Nature,Fire,Water,Air or Earth.

Druids[edit]

Native druids take the class Druidic Aveger or take the normal Druid class but replace the wildshaping features with Aspects of nature.

Fighters[edit]

No changes, but not all the native fighters know how to use a gun.

Paladins[edit]

Paladins get favored enemies as stated in Variant Paladin, also they get no spellcasting, but can take a a feat noted as a fighter bonus feat at 6th,10th,12th and 15th level of class.Paladins are always foreigners.

Rangers[edit]

Rangers can take the Favored Environment Variant.Foreigner rangers don't cast spells, instead they got the following features:

  * At 6th level you get a +2 bonus to hide.
  * At 10th level you get +1 dodge bonus to your AC.
  * At 12th level your hide bonus grows to +4.
  * At 18th level you get +1 bonus to your AC.

Rogues[edit]

Foreigner rogues take the usual rogue class, but native rogues take the Wilderness Rogue instead.

Sorcerers[edit]

Native sorcerers get an animal companion instead of a familiar like this Sorcerer Variant.Sorcerers that grow up amongst foreigners don't get a familiar, instead they learn to cast spells while in light armor without the normal arcane spell failure chance.Also sorcerers are seen as devil's sons for both foreigners and natives, so they try to hide their powers most of the time.

Wizards[edit]

Use the Specialist Wizard Variants .
