Bugbear Traits[edit]

Bugbears are brute force fighters with a knack for ambushing.
Ability Score Increase. Your Strength score increases by 2 and your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Age. Bugbears reach adulthood around age 16 and can live to be about 75.
Alignment. Most Bugbears are chaotic evil, but some tend to stray away from evil while almost always staying chaotic.
Size. Bugbears stand 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 feet tall and average about 350 pounds. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Ambusher. If you surprise a creature and hit it with an attack during the first round of combat, the target takes an extra 2d6 damage from the attack.
Brute Force. When you hit a hostile creature with an attack, you can roll one of the weapon’s damage dice one additional time and add it to the damage of your attack. Once you have used this ability, you must complete a short or long rest before you can use it again.
Bugbear Armor Training. You are proficient with medium armor and shields.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Goblin.
