Arrow of Gold (2.5e Equipment)

An Arrow of Gold is a +3 arrow with an unusual characteristic; the shaft, feathers, and head are all pure gold. When shot from a bow, the arrow grants a +3 bonus to hit. On an attack roll of a natural 20 the target must make a saving throw vs Petrification. On a failed save, the arrow pierces the skin of the creature and transforms them into a golden statue. Once the arrow is used it disintegrates into dust.

It is rumored that one can be found at the Pit of Lost Treasures, and that other 19 are scattered and hidden throughout the realm.

One arrow of gold will sell for 50,000 gold pieces.
