Armored Marksman of the Gods[edit]

If you think you can defeat me, you're gravely mistaken. You'll find that your death is near, and will be swift.


Becoming an Armored Marksman of the Gods[edit]

Very few archers achieve this level of skill with their bows or crossbows. The ones that do are individuals that should be feared and respected.

Entry Requirements
Base Attack Bonus: +10.
Abilities: 18 Con, 20 Dex, 18 Char
Feats: Improved Critical.
Special: Must worship a god

Armored Marksman of the Gods are proficient with a choice of one bow or crossbow and all thrown weapons.

Class Features[edit]

All of the following are class features of the Armored Marksman of the Gods.


Level 1:

Bow of Choice: You must choose a type of bow (Longbow, Composite Longbow, Shortbow, Composite Shortbow, Light Crossbow, Heavy Crossbow, etc.) Your abilities for this class only affect that type of bow and can not use any other type of bow.

Range Increment 10ft/lvl: Increase the range increment of whatever range weapon you are using by 10 feet per Armored Marksman of the Gods level.

Armor of the Gods: Armored Marksman of the Gods receives protection in the form of Damage Reduction 5.


Level 2:

Deadly Aim: A 2nd level Armored Marksman of the Gods can shoot at an opponent within 30ft with deadly aim on his/her first shot per round. The Marksman attack deals 1d6 bonus damage. This extra damage increases to 3d6 at level 5, and 5d6 at level 8. Should the marksman score a critical hit with deadly aim, this extra damage is not multiplied. A marksman can't strike with deadly aim beyond 30ft, nor after their first shot that round. This damage applies only with the marksman's Bow of Choice. An Armored Marksman of the Gods can only apply this damage to attacks on living creatures with discernible anatomies- undead, constructs, oozes, plants, and incorporeal creatures lack vital areas to attack. An creature that is immune to critical hits is not susceptible to deadly aim. The marksman must be able to see the target well enough to pick out a vital spot and must be able to hit such a spot.

Heavy Bolts/Arrows Increase the damage die of your Bow of Choice by 1 step.


Level 3:

Superior Training: A 3rd level Armored Marksman of the Gods has conditioned and trained with their chosen bow/crossbow beyond the skills of the everyday archer, as such they may add their wisdom modifier to damage rolls with the Bow of Choice.


Level 4:

Weapon Specialization As per the feat for their Bow of Choice.

God's Gift: An Armored Marksman of the Gods receives an increase to the critical multiplier with their Bow of Choice by 1.


Level 5:

Improved Deadly Aim: Increase Deadly Aim bonus damage to 3d6.

Lucky Shot: Once per day an Armored Marksman of the Gods may re-roll an attack roll of a Natural 1 with their Bow of Choice.


Level 6:

Improved Superior Training A 6th level Armored Marksman of the Gods has surpassed the most renown archers in the world with his/her skill, as such they increase their critical threat range by 1 with their Bow of Choice.


Level 7:

Greater Weapon Focus: As per the feat for their Bow of Choice.


Level 8:

Deadly Aim Mastery Further increase Deadly Aim bonus damage to 5d6.


Level 9:

Greater Weapon Specialization As per the feat for their Bow of Choice.

Superior Training Mastery The Armored Marksman of the Gods has reached unheard of mastery with his/her Bow of Choice. Only a handful of archers in the multiverse have achieved such skill. As such his/her critical threat range increases by 1 with their Bow of Choice.


Level 10:

God's Strength An Armored Marksman of the Gods receives a +2 bonus to Dex, Con, and Wis.

God's Favor Gain Fast Healing 2


Ex-Armored Marksman of the Gods

An Armored Marksman of the Gods who ceases to worship his/her God, or falls out of favor with them, loses the Armor, Gift, Strength, and Favor bonuses of their God. They do not lose the skills and special abilities gained from the Armored Marksman of the Gods class, however their class becomes a Dishonored Marksman.
