Armed Escort[edit]

Your family or you has ties to merchants who hire your services to deliver goods of all sorts to the far region of the realm. You take full responsibility of the transportation and security of the merchandise with which you always put your reputation and honor on the line. You are loyal and unbribable by default. Your honor protects your employer and goods throughout the journey. You have traveled many place, high and low, delivery is done during day and night may it rain or shine. You have tales to tell of the dangers you and your companions have encountered on the road. But all in all it is rewarding to see and experience what others only dream. You are adept to the open road but you are not shy to make new acquaintances in villages, towns or city you pass by.

Skill Proficiencies: Nature or Survival (Your choice) and Persuasion or Intimidation (Your choice)

Tool Proficiencies: Vehicle (Land)

Languages: One of your choice

Equipment: A set of traveler’s clothes, leather poncho, hooded pole lantern, 2 oil flask, a leather case with a few drawn road maps, and a belt pouch containing 10gp

Feature: Eyes on the road[edit]

As an armed escort, you value information as anybody else. Before you start a journey you can spend a number of hours equal to 1d4 to ascertain information from people in settlements, villages, towns or cities that might be helpful for you on the road ahead. You may ask for a number of information equal to 2d4. The information shared are mundane, at the DM's discretion. For example you may ask the DM, what terrain you can expect on the journey, what type of hostile creatures you may encounter in the area, or historical and lore related significance or locally known pathways.

1 I sometimes desire to sleep in a warm cozy bed. I'm tired of sleeping rough night after night.
2 I only take the job if I'm certain the risk is to a minimum and the pay is maximize.
3 If trouble appears, I let others the precedence and observe from the cart.
4 I like to keep things/information to myself. I don't see the point sharing unless I'm in the mood.
5 I act strong and mighty in a group but alone I'm a lost scared cat.
6 I always need to find out what is inside those crates.
