Battlesmiths are, in their essence, artificers without magic. They use their tools to create powerful, modified items and adopt a specific exotic style of fighting that can only be made by specific modified weapons which, by custom, battlesmiths forge themselves. When creating a battlesmith, think about where they learned their skills in both fighting and smithery. Think about their goals in doing both and how they balance their two lives.

Magical Touch[edit]

At 1st level, you can imbue an item or object that you can touch that is 1 square foot with a spell you know. The square foot increases by 1 each level.

Every item has a DC level which increases or decreases as you level up, To succeed on imbuing an item you must make an arcana check, The DC is equal to the size of the object (1ft = +1DC).

Arcanas Gift[edit]

Also at 1st level you gain access to the Arcane spell list.

Ability Score Improvement[edit]

When you reach 4th level, and again at 8th, 12th, 16th and 19th level, you can increase one ability score of your choice by 2, or you can increase two ability scores of your choice by 1. As normal, you can't increase an ability score above 20 using this feature.

Extra Attack[edit]

Beginning at 5th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. The number of attacks increases to three when you reach 12th level in this class.

Double enchantment[edit]

At level 10 you can now imbue an item or object with 2 spells, this increase to 3 spells at level 20.
