Aramatians are a mix of three races that over time made a new race. These races Aramatians evolved from are Humans, Tieflings, and a long-lost race of Half-Giants. Their Half Giant Heritage makes these beings very tall, even the smallest of the Aramatians is taller than even the tallest humans. Next, let's discuss humanoid characteristics, Aramatians usually share the same skin tone as Humans, however, in rarer cases, Blue, Red, Silver, and Gold are known. The facial features of the Aramatians, and most of their physical characteristics, are astoundingly similar to human characteristics, minus their 4 horns, tail, and wings, which are believed to all come from their Tiefling Heritage. The Aramatians tend to have a strange love for dark magics, often opting for the more recognized scarier classes, but they are nonetheless usually, not evil. It is widely believed that this curiosity is a remnant of the more chaotic and dangerous nature of the Tieflings. Lastly, discussing the Half-Giant's heritage, this is seen within the Aramatian's size and extremely long lifespan.

History[edit]

Aramatians came from 3 different races, as already discussed. the tiefling origin is well known, they came from a winged variant group that used to have been pretty violent, but over time, they gained an interest in peace. The Half-Giants were very different from most part giant beings, these Half-Giants lacked strength, and were typically more brainy than brawny, these Half-Giants were typically peaceful, and usually spent time observing and studying the world around them. The Humans are believed to have had an ideology so similar to the other two, that resulted in the three groups coming together, resulting in the creation of one more prominent clan almost naturally. However, other evidence suggests that this wasn't true until much later, their history suggests that these humans based their philosophy on changing their ways of life and morals on the nature and behavior of other living things that co-existed with them, but this would have been changed when these three races were forced to depend on each other due a catastrophic disaster, that of which its origin is unknown., eventually almost a hundred thousand years ago, the first recorded scriptures Aramatians, began to appear throughout the world.

Attitudes and Beliefs[edit]

Aramatians are well-known for their beautiful appearance; they are very tall, yet they weigh very little. Aramatians have several traits seen in Humans, Tieflings, and a long-lost species of Half-Giants. Aramatians, tend to go out of their way to learn new things about the world. Aramatians believe learning new things is the reason to even exist. Aramatians are blessed with a unique intellect, yet indespite of this, they often lack patience. They tend to be curious, and have a good sense of compassion and understanding, but tend to go to extremes to protect private information, or defend historical artifacts, to prevent sources from being forgotten in history. Due to this, they may sometimes make exceptions to this for those they care about or other very specific reasons, but in this situation, consider yourself very lucky, this seldom happens. Another thing about Aramatians is that they tend to be very interested in understanding others' points of view, and diplomacy, Aramatians often state that they can see someone of the best information that the world has to offer through the words of others. Another thing that Aramatians' own curiosity seems to offer them is an extremely high energy, Aramatians are almost always ready to go out they're way to learn new things. Aramatians individuals can vary extremely, they can be sweeter than 1000 halflings but they can also be crueler than a thousand orcs. However, Aramatians tend to be kind yet reclusive.

Aramatians, typically are very reclusive and shy. They tend to always shield their individuality from strangers by basically pretending the only thing really special about them is their intelligence acting more like a walking encyclopedia at first. However once past this, you will never regret making friends with them cause once you have, they basically see you as family and will at least mentally see you as more important than they see themselves.

Aramatians are not perfect, no race is. Aramatians, cannot tone the loss of those they love the most. Once exposed to this horror, Aramatians are well known for failing to remain stable and becoming dangerous to themselves and others. This is how a lot of chaotic evil Aramatians come to be, sometimes when nobody helps them, they will obtain a warped point of view and think they are doing good. At worst they have been known to just go on kill spree after kill spree literally to the point that they get so used to the uncontrolled emotions, they simply stop experiencing them, however rarely will they stop killing after this, old habits die hard. This has happened successfully too and some have even personally left hundreds of cities vacant of life. Another flaw has to do with their nature of willingly making themselves vulnerable to their friends, Aramatians see their closest friends as their family members, and will become a completely open book to them, this makes Aramatians extremely vulnerable to fake friends. Aramatians often die from pure madness when they fail, to prevent the destruction of important historical information.

Aramatians may not be easy to make friends with, but when it comes to their closest friends, they will protect them at all costs even if it means dying a thousand times. The Aramatian belief is that their families aren't just those they are directly related to but those they got along with really well. Those that Aramatians get along with best will also be seen as the most important family member and persons in their entire life when that best friend is of a race that lives much shorter. An Aramatian will dedicate that small moment both of them are still alive together, with that person's life to miss as little as possible.

Aramatian Traits[edit]

Very tall, winged humanoids with horns
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence score increases by 2. Your Dexterity and Charisma scores each increase by 1.
Age. Aramatians have a long life span they inherited from their half-giant ancestors. They mature a bit slower than humans, usually becoming adults at around 20 years of age. Once they are no longer children, their aging slows drastically. Aramatians remain in their young adult state for around 400 years, after which they begin to die very quickly. Few aramatians live longer than 30 years after their 400th birthday. On average, aramatians live to be 425.
Alignment. Aramatians are neutral and good due to their instinctual nature, usually. That being said, there isn't much stopping them from choosing any of the other alignments. Getting their own alignment to change could be as simple as a good enough argument to of downright impossible.
Size. Aramatians are 9 to 12 feet tall in height and have a 15 foot wingspan that makes up 1/3 of their weight. They are surprisingly only around 200-300 pounds. Your size is Large.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 40 feet. You have a flying speed of 20 feet, but you cannot use this speed while encumbered or wearing armor.
Withered Body. Although the aramatians are generally pretty healthy, they are by nature already withered and thin and cannot resist energies that siphon life. You have disadvantage on saving throws against necrotic damage.
Hollow Bones. As helpful hollow bones are for flying they are a handicap when it comes to physical strength. You cannot use weapons that have the Oversized tag and you have disadvantage on Strength (Athletics) checks involving carrying, lifting, or pushing objects that are as heavy or heavier than your own body weight.
Frozen One. You are resistant to cold damage and are unaffected by the effects of Extreme Cold, as detailed in chapter 5 of the Dungeon Master's Guide.
Hands of Ice. By channeling the ice and frost that is one with your veins and blood, you can damage enemies. You know the ray of frost cantrip. Intelligence is your spellcasting modifier for this spell.
Languages. Due to their high intelligence, aramatians are really good at learning new things. You can speak, read, and write in Common and either Infernal or Giant.
