From D&D Wiki
Welcome to D&D Wiki!
Hello Zau and welcome to D&D Wiki. I hope you have been enjoying this site, and I hope you have been finding the information here on D&D Wiki useful. I am an admin (and, actually, the owner as well) here on D&D Wiki along with a couple other people who make up "The Face" of D&D Wiki. An entire list of admins can be found here.
If you have any question about D&D Wiki, D&D, formatting on D&D Wiki, what day today is, what our purpose here on earth is, or whatever, an admin will, many times, give the best answer. Please feel free to ask any admin any question (ask me a question!).
Formatting on D&D Wiki (or any wiki for that matter) can be very difficult, and if you need help a good place to start is Help:Editing on Wikipedia (or even their Introduction page). This will explain the basic wiki formatting and should provide quite a few useful links that explain more specific areas of wiki formatting. Again, if you have any questions about formatting on D&D Wiki please ask them as, I imagine, anybody will be more than happy to help you get them answered.
A strong and welcoming community exists on D&D Wiki, and I am sure you will find it rather nice. Most discussions take place on content talk pages, however please feel free to walk into The Tavern (our local chat room) and talk to some fellow D&D Wikians. Anyway, on D&D Wiki, possibly since discussions are never deleted, people try to be nice. This means please follow Wikipedia's guidlines on Civility and Etiquette when discussing anything. And, if an argument does arise, please use Wikipedia's Dispute Resolution to make sure everyone comes out happy. Also, on a pretty different note, to ensure people know who posted what, please sign your name after a post with four tildes (~~~~) or by clicking on the signature icon. This will automatically produce your name and the date (by the way, it's kinda a pet peeve of mine when people don't sign posts... arrg...). Anyway, I hope you come to love the close-knit D&D Wiki community and welcome again, you are now a D&D Wikian. --Green Dragon 12:32, 31 January 2008 (MST)
I'd like to hear from you about reopening the tavern
So you may or may not know this, but Dandwiki used to have an IRC chatroom where contributors could talk in real time and get help from one another. While the chatroom was eventually removed, I'm polling the community to see if we would like to have one again. Here is where you come in. If you have some time (it shouldn't take more than a few minutes), stop by the discussion and post your thoughts. Thanks, Badger 21:51, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
I noticed that you have been welcoming users to D&D Wiki. If you would like to do this using the full text I will help you with list, the text, and wherever possible. --Green Dragon 10:48, 31 January 2012 (MST)
- Could I just copy-pasta the greeting on my talk page and replace the my name with the new user name and my own sig tag? i mostly just greet people when i see the new user log in RC. Zau 22:12, 14 February 2012 (MST) (edit: oh, and remove the refs to being admin and owner)
- Got the template now, thanks. Zau (talk) 13:58, 9 March 2013 (MST)
You should make a "My Stuff" section on your homepage so that it is easier for people who like one of your classes to find more of them. If you look at my User page, you will see that I have a list of everything that I have made. --Salasay Δ 18:54, 25 January 2013 (MST)
Some homebrew balance
So I recently started making homebrews and i was wondering if you would look at them and give me your opinion. Wisplings_(3.5e_Race) particularly the level adjustment question on the page. Sorcerous_Scholar_(3.5e_Class). respond on their talk pages if you could so its easier to keep track of. Mordred the dark (talk) 19:09, 11 October 2014 (MDT)
Hi Zau, would you be able to write a short description for Harrison Clovet (3.5e NPC) - just a quick paragraph on what he looks like, personality and motivations, thanks! Marasmusine (talk) 05:57, 20 November 2015 (MST)
- Done. Not much to say, though. I'm not a good worldbuilder, especially since he's supposed to be somewhat generic, able to be thrown into an existing campaigns gallery of nobles and hangers on. Zau (talk) 13:58, 20 November 2015 (MST)
