Talk:Sizes Other Than Medium (5e Variant Rule)

What are these rules applied to? Just PCs, or all creatures including monsters? Is the intention of the rules to stop players from making halfling and gnome PCs? Marasmusine (talk) 03:11, 8 March 2020 (MDT)

I see these rules are for PCs only. There are only two sizes of PC race: Small and Medium. The PHB does explain the differences between these two sizes: for weapon wielding and encumbrance. You'll only find Tiny and Large PC races as homebrew, which on this wiki will usually link to Tiny Player Characters (5e Variant Rule) or Large Player Characters (5e Variant Rule). I don't know of any Huge or Gargantuan player races. Marasmusine (talk) 11:24, 8 March 2020 (MDT)
Is the damage bonus for Large, Huge and Garguantuan on top of the extra damage that those size weapons do? That is, does a Huge character with a Huge-sized shortsword deal 4d6 + 2d4 damage? Or does it replace this, so the damage is 1d6 + 2d4? Marasmusine (talk) 11:29, 8 March 2020 (MDT)
Does the base movement speed replace the PCs normal movement speed? For example, if there was a Large-sized PC Centaur race with a base walking speed of 50 feet, does this get lowered to 35 feet? Marasmusine (talk) 11:31, 8 March 2020 (MDT)
