Needs Balance[edit]

Understood, I'll try and think up something, but with Temporary health points replacing themselves rather than adding to themselves made this spell hard to keep weak as I was attempting to recreate The Warlock spell of the same name from World of Warcraft. If anyone has any ideas, I'm open to sugguestions. I'm an extremely new user and This is one I made before I created an account.

Well I think my first suggestion is not to make it a cantrip. I don't know much about WoW, but reading the description on Wowhead, it uses up a resouce (mana) and requires a few warlock levels first. Cantrips are minor spells that can be cast without using up resources (For D&D this is spell slots rather than mana, although there is a mana-like option in the DMG).
For a 1st level spell 1d8 necrotic damage with 1d8 hit points restored might be reasonable (it shouldn't heal more than cure wounds), and it should have a "at higher levels" section (since warlocks always cast spells at their highest spell slot level).
I'm not sure what the bonus action thing does exactly. Marasmusine (talk) 06:43, 28 December 2023 (MST)
