Nichirin Swords, forged with special materials found on high mountains, are the main weapons used by Demon Slayers to end the lives of demons. When wielded by a Demon Slayer, the swords will change color, with the color determined by their breathing technique. When the blade is swung with the correct technique, it can sever the demon's neck, resulting in the demon's body disintegrating into ash. However, the swords are less effective when used to slash other parts of the demon's body, making beheading the only viable option for Demon Slayers..
