Sandboxes and Subpages[edit]

Ack! You are creating all of these in the mainspace. Make sure you are adding "User:Dj00345/" before the page names so that they stay as subpages of your user page. If you need help moving these pages let me know. JazzMan 19:42, 7 March 2011 (MST)

do you have to put the / after my name? Dj00345 19:48, 7 March 2011 (MST)
is there a way to keep all of these on my sandbox and just link them so that you can click "< back to User:Dj00345"??? Dj00345 19:52, 7 March 2011 (MST)
by the way, what do you mean by adding "User:Dj00345/" before the page names so that they stay as subpages of my user page.? what do you mean by subpage??? Dj00345 20:11, 7 March 2011 (MST)
Ok, so, what you've done is made a bunch of new pages in the main namespace. Every sandbox page needs to begin with "User:Dj00345/". When you include text after a slash, that is a subpage. So, for example, this page is "Sandbox2" which is a subpage of your user page. All the links on this page should be subpages of the Sandbox2 subpage, so they should be something like "User:Dj00345/Sandbox2/My_Class". If you don't include the "User:Dj00345/Sandbox2/" then any pages you make will be in the main namespace, and likely deleted. If you've done it properly, any newly created sub-page will automatically link back up like you want. This is a link to a subpage of mine, which explains sandboxes more. Check out the URL to see what we're talking about. --Badger 22:18, 7 March 2011 (MST)
All right. I will try it out. Dj00345 04:52, 8 March 2011 (MST)

This might be a stupid question but...[edit]

...what exactly is 2.5e? Should there be a rulebook on here somewhere? JazzMan 19:06, 4 May 2011 (MDT)

2e D&D after Wizards of the Coast bought out TSR. I don't know abut official content's licensing. --Green Dragon 17:18, 31 July 2011 (MDT)

What Links Here[edit]

Discussion moved from User talk:Green Dragon#2.5e Homebrew What Links Here. --Green Dragon 20:55, 5 September 2011 (MDT)

With around 100 pages which relate to 2.5e, is this ready to be linked to from the Main Page? For how the content should be layed out, is this close enough to 2.5e to be linked to from the Main Page? --Green Dragon 17:18, 31 July 2011 (MDT)

Almost... I have most of it ready. Just need to add a few more things so that each link isn't completly empty... Only 2 of the sections need at least one thing. Those sections are Diseases and NPC's. Then every section will have at least one thing. I'll let you know when I get those 2 done on this discussion page. Dj00345 17:33, 31 July 2011 (MDT)
on second thought I just looked and found out that most of the equipment section isnt finished. I didn't make pages for some of the equipment sections. I should have them all done plus the other 2 things by the end of today. Maybe halfway through tomorrow. I'll let you know when I finish! Dj00345 17:47, 31 July 2011 (MDT)
ok. I got one thing each for the Disease and NPC section. Now I just need to make pages for the rest of the equipment sections and I should be done and you can put it up on the main page. I'll let you know! Dj00345 18:17, 31 July 2011 (MDT)

great!!! I noticed on the main page... Are you also able to add it to the little boxes on the side of the main page??? Or is that more advanced??? Dj00345 21:07, 5 September 2011 (MDT)
Which little boxes? --Green Dragon 21:23, 5 September 2011 (MDT)
He means the mediawiki sidebar. --Badger 21:27, 5 September 2011 (MDT)
the ones every time you go to any page on the wiki... At the top it says the logo D&D wiki, then below is a box that says "Navigation" and has "Main page, recent changes, and meta pages" In it. And then below it says "d&d" and inside it says "4e Homebrew, 3.5e Homebrew, etc". Is it possible to put "2.5e Homebrew in those boxes??? Dj00345 21:32, 5 September 2011 (MDT)
