Gut Bucket (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Wondrous item, Very Rare

The first ogres to make gut buckets had little more than pot metal strapped to a belt embroidered with magical stitching, but modern incarnations are grandiose affairs with embossed scenes of grand heroics and fantastic meals.

While wearing light armor or no armor, this belt grants +2 AC. The gut bucket has 6 charges. Eating a particularly large or delicious meal (DM's discretion) fully restores the gut bucket's charges, otherwise it regains 1 charge at the conclusion of every meal you eat. As a bonus action you can strike the gut bucket, expending two charges and the gut bucket casts Thunderwave (DC 14). You may also activate the protective magics in the gut bucket as a reaction, spending 3 charges to gain +3 AC until the end of your next turn. Each time an attack misses you while the gut bucket is active, the gut bucket casts Thunderwave (DC 14) immediately after the attack is declared a miss.
