Decanter of Healing (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Wondrous item, rare (major)

A decanter of healing is a large jug filled to the brim with magical red healing fluid, identical to the sort found in common healing potions.

Charges. The decanter of healing holds up to 8 charges, and regains 1d4 - 1 charges daily at dawn. You may use an action to expend a charge to do one of the following:

  • Take a swig directly from the decanter, restoring 2d4 + 2 hit points to yourself.
  • Administer a dose directly from the decanter to another creature within 5 feet of you, restoring 2d4 + 2 hit points to that creature.
  • Pour one pint of fluid into an empty waterskin, flask, or other container. This pint of fluid behaves identically to a common potion of healing if drunk in full. This new potion of healing loses its potency after 24 hours.
  • Pour one pint of fluid out of the decanter onto who-knows-what, with all of the consequences that might entail.
