Talk:Ultimate Buffer (3.5e Optimized Character Build)

This build isn't legal as written and fails at it's stated intention as it gives up on so many caster levels. It only ever unlocks 7th level spells, takes until lvl 20 to unlock them, and unlocks lvl 6 spells at lvl 17. Additionally, it is insanely weak to this theme's pre-eminent weakness, dispel, as it is missing so many caster levels and has a negative Wis mod for the Cleric buffs.

lvl 1 correction required to make the build legal as is: lose Practiced Spellcaster and pickup Heighten Spell. The entire build hinges on being able to cast a lvl 3 arcane spell at lvl 1 and fails to pickup the feats necessary to do so.

To improve the build, lose all the garbage base class dips, grab the War Weaver levels immediately upon completing Rainbow Servant, and use the remaining 4 levels on something that increases existing spellcaster level. Perhaps keep the 1 level dip into Cleric to wear Mithril medium armor and try to pick up Sacred Exorcist and Divine Metamagic.
