Talk:Ra'Virr (Asylon Supplement)

In terms of narrative, I feel pretty good about this race. Statistically, I'm worried that it might be unbalanced. If anyone has suggestions, I will gladly listen to them. :) ThatGuyEli 13:15, 30 March 2009 (MDT)

Under religion, you have sacrifice as an aspect, but I thought you didn't want to have them sacrifice because you wanted the Hressh to stand out in that aspect. Instead do you mean more of self-sacrifice and Asceticism? Also, I thought it might be cool if the Ra'Virr could be racially proficient with the blowpipe (especially deep in the Jungle) and the Atlatl. (Derek)

Those would be cool, but worthless. Both would do absolute crap damage, and no one would play them. Also, since they already have so many bonuses, I can't justify adding exotic weapon proficiencies.

I haven't quite decided about the sacrifice yet. If the Ra'Virr DID sacrifice, it would be animals, not each other. We'll see. ThatGuyEli 00:36, 31 March 2009 (MDT)

I get what you mean by not adding too much to the race, but those weapons aren't worthless, (especially if the blowpipe shoots poisoned darts) and the Atlatl throws a dart harder, faster, and farther than a spear.

I meant they're worthless statistically. :) The blowgun does 1 damage at a range of 10 feet, and there just isn't going to be anyone interested in using a weapon like that when there are others available. The Atlatl is more enticing, so I might think about that, but the blowgun is out. ThatGuyEli 19:36, 31 March 2009 (MDT)
