Weapon (Magical Instrument), Legendary (requires attunement)

Two badass looking drumsticks made from Iron Wood. They always look like they are on fire, though no heat is given off and you cannot be injured by this false fire. It is simply an illusion. They are a lot heavier than they look...

Bonham's Mjolnir Thunderbeat has 3 charges. As an action while you are holding Thunderbeat, you can expend a charge to play a haunting beat. The wielder throws their drum sticks at up to 2 different creatures within 60 feet. Mid flight, the drum sticks turn into large, blunt hammers. Each Hammer hits for 1d20+5 force damage. (+1 levels of exhaustion to wielder)

Each time a successful Bonham's Mjolnir is performed, roll a d20. On a natural 1, Thunderbeat breaks and is destroyed. Thunderbeat regains all expended charges daily at dawn.

Peart's Pierce Thunderbeat has 3 charges. As an action while you are holding Thunderbeat, you can expend a charge to play a haunting beat. After the wielder does the action Bonham's Mjolnir, the user can take a bonus action to have both drum sticks return to the wielder, piercing through any creature in the way on the way back to the wielder. They can be returned with this move at any distance. Each drum stick hits for 4d6+4 piercing damage.

Each time a successful Peart's Pierce is performed, roll a d20. On a natural 1, Thunderbeat breaks and is destroyed. Thunderbeat regains all expended charges daily at dawn.

Curse. These Drummies are cursed. Attuning to this item curses you until you are targeted by a wish spell. The only way to remove exhaustion caused by Thunderbeat is to drink at a tavern. No amount of rest will fulfill the need for a great ale, nor will drinking alone or at a "house party". Only the company of strangers and a beverage poured by a bartender with years of experience will make you feel better. Drinking this way removes 1 level of exhaustion per hour. In Addition, the wielder of these stick is compelled to break things. Finish a drink, break the cup. Eat food, break the plate. Too quiet? Break the window! You are just a horrible person to be breaking all these things that don't belong to you. Almost everything that you see as breakable, you wanna break. Every 6 hours, something must be broken, or the Drum Sticks will turn into hammers and break you, causing 1d100 force damage.
