Versatile Unarmed Strike (5e Variant Rule)

From D&D Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

When your unarmed strike hits a creature no more than one size category larger than you, instead of dealing damage you can do any one of the following:

  • Grapple. If you have a free hand, the hit creature becomes grabbed.
  • Shove. The hit creature is shoved 5 feet in a direction of your choice.
  • Trip. The hit creature falls prone.
  • Disarm. The hit creature makes a Strength or Dexterity saving throw (its choice), with the DC equal to your attack roll result. On a failed save, you can take into your hand one object you can see on that creature's person. If you don't have a free hand, the object drops in the creature's space.

  • Mount. If the hit creature is at least one size category larger than you, it becomes mounted by you.
