Talk:Spellweaver (3.5e Class)

This class has gone through a couple major reworkings, so if there are any sections that seem not to fit with the rest, it may be from a past version that I overlooked when updating. I have looked through and I think I caught them all.Dragonfire 08:39, 15 April 2012 (MDT)

I am also working in an experimental spell casting system that is a bit of a throwback to card playing games such as Magic: The Gathering. We shall see if that works out at all in play testing. For the Spellweaver spells, I would recommend getting a normal deck of 52 cards +2 jokers and have a sheet to match up which spells correspond to which cards in the deck, or get blank 3x5 cards. I am actually working on a C++ program specifically coded to randomize a spellweaver's deck, and from it draw a hand of cards, spell effects and description included. Mainly because I'm play testing this class in a campaign. And because the card method doesn't work that well(I attempted to but ended up having to play a massive game of card pickup when I tried to shuffle a deck of cards that accounted for multiples), it doesn't factor in the ability for spells to show up multiple times. Currently the program isn't ready for a proper release but it's ready for a play test. I'll update as things progress if there is still any life to the Spellweaver class. --Gemstone (talk) 16:55, 3 March 2015 (MST)

The idea behind doing all this is that I am trying to make a spellcaster that requires as much strategic thinking as possible. In this case, one must carefully choose what spells are in the deck each day, and strategically play each spell. It may be a little to much. Please comment. Dragonfire 13:57, 16 April 2012 (MDT)

For anyone who sees this, this class is about to get a major overhall. It currently sucks. Going for a new type of spell mechanic that should do what I am trying to do much better. Dragonfire (talk) 15:35, 27 October 2012 (MDT)

Seeing as how this seems to be dead, and the page is tagged for deletion, I've decided to take it over and breathe some fresh life into the concept with my own take. User:Lord Nevermore (talk) 10:36, 07 July 2015

Anyone?[edit]

If no one has any objections I may be taking this one and shining it abit.
